<description>@Renee: I use a 1/3 cup measuring cup to measure out my laundry detergent. No matter what the directions say for the specific brand of laundry detergent, I never find the need to use more than that for a full load of washing!

As for brands and how well they work, years ago I switched to ALL because I was having rash problems from other brands. But even when I was brand-surfing, I never noticed than any brand cleaned better than any other! Now, I wait until ALL goes on sale and I have a coupon to go with that sale, and buy about 10 jugs. At only 1/3 per load, it goes a long way :)

<description>I really would like to know what everyone is using for a large load of clothes in a regular top loading washer(regular measuring cup not the one detergent comes with). Mine is a whirlpool with no special gadgets, bells or whistles justa dial.

Also does anyone have a story, or have an article about different laundry detergents? Comparing cleaning on grease, grass, and dirt? Just curious after reading this wonderful article. Seems maybe there could be something about all these high tech laundry detergents that are $5.00+. Is the cheap xtra detergent no better then the Tide? Would love to know!

Thanks~ Renee
