Talking Valentines Day Flowers for Soldiers!

With Valentine’s Day less than two weeks away, the options for Valentine gifts are showing up everywhere.  Flowers, candy, stuffed animals, jewelry.  It’s all nice, but none of those gifts are very original.  It looked like the Valentine’s Day loot was going to be the same as last year…

Or so we thought!  In our search for something a little bit different, we came across talking roses at FTD.com.  The screen shot at left shows what they look like.

More than just Valentines flowers, these vases come with a red plastic heart attached- which plays a recorded message of your voice!  After ordering the flowers online, you record a personalized message by telephone.  The florist transfers your phone message into the heart, attaches it to the vase, and your personal Valentine wish is ready for delivery! 

These talking flowers seem like a great option if you and your sweetheart are spending time apart this Valentine’s Day.  We especially love this idea for military spouses!  Deployed soldiers will love being able to send a personalized message with their own voice, letting their loved ones know that even though space is separating them physically, they’re still together in mind and heart.
