My daughter was born on January 9, 2010. Here is Danelle Ice’s weight loss update for post-pregnancy weeks 2 and 3.
The easy part is over… now for the difficult part of losing all this weight. My pre-pregnancy weight this time was 118 pounds (I’m only 5’ 1” tall), meaning I gained a whopping 53 pounds to give birth to a 7 pound baby!
It has now become common to see women in their mid-30s before they elect to start a family. While it is true that having babies at a later age is associated with some increased risks, today it is considered safe for most healthy women to become pregnant in their 30s and 40s.
I thought I’d share some helpful hints for moms who find themselves having “belly births”. C-sections are vastly different than vaginal births, with very different recoveries. Many moms aren’t prepared, and it can be difficult to find good information out there to help.
Even if you haven’t missed your period yet, you may be experiencing one or more of the early signs of pregnancy and be waiting until you can take a home pregnancy test to know for sure. If you are pregnant, it is important for you to tell as soon as possible. It will be helpful if you are already aware of these common pregnancy symptoms.
I forgot to mention it last week, but my friend and fellow blogger Crystal Paine had her baby on May 6th, 2009!
