Our menu plan this week features dinner sandwich recipes that are perfect for summer vacation. Who says sandwiches are just for lunch? They reduce the heavy cooking in the kitchen, get you out to the barbecue grill occasionally, and give you some summer variety in your dinner routine.

Meals with Recipes:
Monday
Dinner: Brontosaurus Burgers. These awesome BBQ burgers are great for summer vacation, and anything with a dinosaur name is sure to have your kids begging for more!
Tuesday
Dinner: Fried Green Tomato Sandwich. This tasty summer sandwich recipe is cooked almost like a Monte Cristo with egg battered bread. Filled with both green and red tomatoes and served warm and melty. Delicious! Serves 2.
Wednesday
Dinner: Chicken Salad Pitas. Healthy chicken pitas are ready in only 15 minutes and loaded with healthy veggies. Pack this summer dinner sandwich into your picnic basket and venture out with the family to the park or for an evening boat ride.
Thursday
Dinner: Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo. What better way to bring the taste of a restaurant home than with a hot melty Philly cheesesteak, made just the way you like it? This hearty dinner sandwich is sure to please and can be made at home at a fraction of the restaurant price.
Friday
Dinner: Portobello Mushroom Sandwiches recipe. This summer dinner sandwich should really be called “Portobella Mushroom Burgers” because they’re served on hamburger buns.
Saturday
Dinner: Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style. Hungry for Greek food for dinner? This gyro can satisfy that craving with an easy-to-make sandwich recipe that you can create at home.
Sunday
Dinner: Leftover Love. Spread out a buffet table of all the leftovers from the week’s meals. This means a day-off for the chef!
