Planning a spring wedding, or maybe just a spring lunch with friends?  This beautiful spring wedding tablescape gives great inspiration for using flowers as a centerpiece in a unique way.  The close up photo of the wedding tablescape’s centerpiece really shows off the technique.  You can set up your spring tablescapes to emulate this tropical pink table setting with our step by step directions below.

Create Centerpiece Vases Filled with Flowers:

  • Choose inexpensive vases from a craft store.
  • Place silk flowers completely inside vase.
  • Fill vase with Wonder Water or another similar product, following the directions on the package.  Wonder Water is a gel used for flower arranging which looks exactly like water, but will hold your floral design firmly in place.
  • Allow product to set before moving vases (to avoid disrupting the arrangement).

How to Copy this Tablescape

What beautiful colors with the contrasting pink of the tulips and green from the stems!  To copy this style of this wedding’s table setting for your spring tablescapes, do the following:

  • Use a beveled mirror under the centerpiece to reflect light and color.
  • Choose tea light candle holders in a shade which complements the flowers.
  • Select a bright vibrant shade for the flowers, and a pastel version of the same color for napkins to continue the color scheme to the outside of the table.
  • Opt for a muted color for the tablecloth and stemware to allow the accent colors to pop.
  • Scatter silk or real flower petals around the centerpiece to camouflage the edges of the mirror.

Thanks for the wedding table inspiration. I’m having my wedding outdoors this summer and it’s entirely diy. I’ve been back and forth on the table centerpieces so this is some great ideas for me to consider.

I don’t know anyone getting married soon, but this sure is pretty!

I did this for a wedding in March 2009 and this was truly a wow factor. When the bride and groom walked in the room, she was so taken back she had to sit down. I used a silver candlelabra and made the centerpieces and had pink carnations going around it along with the candles.

I also used pink sashes with ivory chair covers, the minister told me, his church never looked so good, this was the first time his church was decorated for any event, especially for a wedding.

Does anyone know where you can purchase the pink votive holders?

@Kim: Thanks for coming over! I find some of the best tablescapes come from weddings and like to copy them for entertaining! My friend recently reminded me that it’s time to inject some spring color, and she was right! Have a great week.
