Fresh green spring tablescapes are a garden lover’s dream!  Originally set up for wedding table settings, the green garden delight spring tablescapes are light and fresh.  Simple and understated, garden tablescapes are perfect for indoor or outdoor weddings and entertaining.  The key to getting garden tablescapes that pack such a powerful punch without a lot of setup is creating the seed packet place cards, which we show you how to make below with our step by step instructions.

Spring Garden Tablescape WeddingHow to Copy this Spring Tablescape:

  • Use a white or ivory tablecloth.
  • Use light green as the main color in the tablescape, against white and clear dishes to allow the color to pop.
  • Fill glasses with solid green napkins.
  • Choose bright spring colors in your floral centerpiece, such as pink, purple, yellow, and orange.  Use a colorful spring pot instead of a vase to hold the bouquet.
  • For less formality, skip the plates and bowls in the setting.  In their place, present the seed packet place cards.  Necessary plates and bowls can be provided with the buffet or from the servers if your meal is plated.

How to make the Seed Packet Place Cards

1.  Choose seed packets with warm vibrant colors printed on the packages.

2.  Choose green sheer ribbon.  You can choose to use 2 ribbons on each to include a wide green ribbon and a narrow ribbon in a color which matches the centerpiece, such as pink, purple, or yellow.

3.  Find a precut scrapbooking shape in a spade, shovel, watering can, or other similar garden-related shape.  Purchase the paper cutouts pre-cut or using stencils and cardstock, cut out your own shapes.  Make sure the shape is large enough to Tablescape Thursdaywrite a name on, but small enough to fit on the front of the seed packet.

4.  Naming your guests.  On each garden cutout, write the guest’s name across the shape.

5.  Assemble the pieces.  Place the garden shape on top of a seed packet, and secure with a single (or double) ribbon tied around and into a bow in the front.
