I tried them too, and they are SO easy to use. It is such a coincidence that around the time I started using mine, there was a report on the local news about how using too much detergent can be damaging to your washing machine, cause the soap not to be completely rinsed out, etc. That’s the thing I like about these Purex sheets–that I won’t use too much detergent. I know I’m guilty of it. That’s also such a money-waster too!
@Teresa: I agree about using too much soap. A few years ago I ditched the laundry detergent jug with its meauring cap and started puttin it into a separate container to use with a 1/3 cup measuring cup.
Believe it or not, our detergent use was instantly cut down by about 2/3rds! Our detergent lasted so much longer that I knew we (dd, hubby and myself) had been filling the cap with too much soap. What a waste! And great point about the damage to the washing machine. I’m so into Purex I won’t be buying any more traditional detergent!

We love Purex! Unfortunately, I thought I had to kiss Purex goodbye when I got my He Washer and Dryer. Imagine my surprise when I found an He formula at my local Kroger! I was excited to hear about the 3-in-1 and even more excited to learn that they could be used in my washer and dryer!
My local Walgreens had them on sale for $5.99 (ouch, right?) However, they offered $2 in register rewards, so it was like paying $3.99 for them. When used with my $1 off coupon, I paid $2.99 for them – which is, in fact, comprable to the He formula Purex available at Kroger.
I haven’t used them yet…but I look forward to it! Thanks for the insider tip

You have my curiosity, but I am always afraid to try new soap due to my daughter and I having eczema. Are they going to let people get a sample to try before having to buy a whole box? Thanks!
@Michelle: I don’t know about the samples, but I do know they have coupons available on the site right now. I have psoriasis and often have reactions to laundry detergents and dryer sheets if we use something other than our regular brand (ALL free & clear). I didn’t have any problem with the Purex complete, which isn’t to say that you won’t have a reaction- you never know until you try it. Good luck!

This is a great product for college students.
All the new HE dryers say NOT to use dryer sheetsi n them. It clogs up the ‘holes’ ,and adds a build up to the drum and vent hose.
Somy question is what is different about Purex 3 in 1, that they can be used in the new HE dryers?
@Kate: I don’t know why they are okay to use in HE machines, that is a question that would best be addressed to customer service at Purex. However, I do know that on the front of the package it specifically states that Purex 3-in-1s are safe for use in HE machines. Sorry I can’t be of more assistance!

The only thing I would recommend is if they would have a perforated line down the center to cut in half for small loads. I did pull out the scissors but it would be easier if you could just pull it apart.
Other then that I love the idea and the product. Keep the coupons coming and I will continue to buy.
My son travels constantly for work. The last time he went out, I sent these new Purex sheets with him. His other co-workers had to contend with dented, leaking liquid detergent bottles, or pay the high prices for detergents and fabric softeners in vending machines. All his co-workers are now picking up Purex sheets before their next trip. My son said he belives the product would be ideal for anyone who lives in a college dorm, too. Great product!
