Free Printable Recipes

Our menu plan this week features free printable recipes from Cooks Recipes.  We’ve included some meals based around very inexpensive frugal ingredients, as well as ground meats that can help thrifty homemakers stretch their grocery dollars.

Home Ever After’s exclusive free printable Take and Make Menu Plans contain everything you need for an entire week’s dinners and all you have to do is the shopping and cooking!  Print out the menu plan each Sunday, which includes:

  • A printable grocery shopping list of ingredients.  Print out the list, check off what you already have on hand, then take your shopping list to the store.
  • A dinner meal for each day. Click the name of the meal to print the recipe and directions.  (After the week is over, add the recipes to your cookbook for future use.)

Frugal Ground Meat Recipes Spectacular!

Menu is planned for a family of 4 (number of servings may vary – check each recipe below).  Please adjust ingredients and recipes up to accommodate extra people.

 

Printable Grocery Shopping List:

Meats and Proteins:
____  8 pork chops 
____  2 (8-ounce) packages Parmesan cheese
____  5 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
____  1 cup cottage cheese
____  8 ounces pepperoni, sliced
____  3 (8-ounce) packages mozzarella cheese
____  1 (8-ounce) package cheddar cheese
Vegetables/Fruits:
____  5 onions
____  2 bunches of broccoli
____  1 bag of sugar snap peas
____  1 cabbage
____  1 (4-ounce) can mushrooms, sliced
____  1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
____
1 green bell pepper
____  2 celery ribs
____  2 cloves garlic
Liquids:
____  1/4 cup dry white wine
____  2 (15-ounce) cans pizza sauce
____  1 (15-ounce) can meatless spaghetti sauce
____  2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
Spices:
____  Salt
____  Black pepper
____  Ground ginger
____  1 teaspoon garlic salt
____  Italian seasoning
____  Crushed dried oregano
____
Dried thyme
____  Cayenne pepper
Other:
____  4 teaspoons mayonnaise
____  3 tablespoons butter or margarine
____  1 package (6 ounces) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix
____  1 jar orange marmalade or apricot preserves
Grains / Baking:
____  2.5 cups uncooked rice
____  8 ounces pasta such as penne, rotini or elbow macaroni
____  1 box lasagna noodles

Meals with Recipes:

Monday

Dinner: Cheesy Pork Chops served with cooked broccoli crowns as a side.  Serves 4.

 

Tuesday

Dinner: Cabbage Cacciatore.  This recipe is very unique, and features 2 fantastic frugal ingredients that cost next to nothing– cabbage and rice!  Makes 6 servings.

Wednesday

Dinner: Crockpot Pizza Casserole.  Fast and easy, you can throw these ingredients together after cooking the ground beef and let the crockpot do all the work for you!  Makes 6 servings.

Thursday

Dinner: Ginger Pork and Stuffing Skillet served with cooked buttered broccoli and sugar snap peas as sides.  Serves 4.

 

Friday

Dinner: Lip Lickin’ Lasagna.  Doesn’t that name just make you want to try it?! This tasty dish serves up to 12 people.

Saturday

Dinner: Quick and Easy Beef Jambalaya.  Serves 4.

Sunday

 

Dinner: Leftover Love. Spread out a buffet table of all the leftovers from the week’s meals.  This means a day-off for the chef!

    @Tiffany: You know, I rarely cook with cabbage because I don’t have a lot of recipes that call for it. However, whenever cabbage is on sale for super cheap, I’ll turn it into stuffed cabbage leaves. Those are SO good! Thanks for the comment, and I hope you have an awesome week also!
