If you read my article for Blog Action Day a few weeks ago, you know that we are having a very unusual winter here in Alaska this year. Whereas we normally have snow on the ground by the first week of October, this year we had no ground cover until just yesterday morning!
I’ve been wishing for my whole life that we’d make it to one Halloween without snow so the kids could go trick or treating without it, and this year we almost made it… This is definitely one winter for the history books – making it to October 26th before the first sticking snow. We came so close, I can only think that next year I’ll get my wish for sure!
Wondering what it looks like today in Fairbanks, Alaska? It looks like it’s been snowing for the last 2 months! I’m considering inventing a baby stroller with studded tires (hint hint to stroller developers out there).
Hope everyone else is ready for winter! Speaking of which, our Get Ready for Winter checklist is about to be re-released this week, so stay tuned!
