5 Things About Homemaker Barbi:
1. I have been addicted to chapstick (Bonne Bell Lip Smacker Flavored Lip Gloss to be exact) my entire life. I have a chapstick in every pocket, 3 on my desk, 2 in my car, 3 in my purse, 2 under my pillow, 1 in my apron, 1 on my keys, about 20 in my stash, and strays all throughout the house!
2. I love to peel potatoes, even though I hated it as a child and remember specifically telling MY mother that I’d never peel potatoes when I grew up!
3. I’m a strict parent. I’m all about personal responsibility and accountability. I’m “tough but fair,” as I tell the kids. In my book, that’s a good way to be!
4. I love the gym, and my husband and I always work out together. In the summer time we walk everywhere. We even went on long walks for miles when I was 10 months pregnant!
5. I love spreadsheets and I make them for fun. Really. Give me data or give me death! Honestly, I can make a spreadsheet out of ANYTHING (and probably already have, just name it!).

I’m jealous- spreadsheets for fun? Wow!
I am the same way in discipline. They have to survive in the real world someday right?
Haha..I told my mother the same thing that I’d never peel potatoes when I grew up, but I don’t! I still hate it.
I’m from a family of 7 and we had potatoes almost twice a day. Love the info on your blog and I’d love to learn more about those spreadsheets…I love ‘em too!
Interesting facts. I like spreadsheets too. I keep spreadsheets on how much money I save with coupons etc. I’m having a little giveaway for Mommyfest on my blog if you care to check it out. http://rnrreviews.blogspot.com/
Yes, spreadsheets are my weakness, it’s true! The spreadsheet I have been most proud of was the one I used to buy everything needed to set up for a new baby. I’ll post about that in the upcoming garage sale and baby boom months!
@Linda – too funny about the potatoes! We had them a lot too as a child, but my mother had this old busted metal peeler that just DUG into my hands. *ouch* Needless to say, the posh potato peeler I have NOW is probably the most expensive kitchen gadget I own! haha
