Menu Plan 6-8-08
Welcome to Homemaker Barbi’s Menu Plan, The Homemaker Barbi Frugal Café. This week’s menu uses up lots of on-hand ingredients (meaning we’re using what’s in the pantry and freezer because they’re overstocked!).
Dinners
Monday: Nachos
Tuesday: French toast, Spam and eggs.
Wednesday: ~ Leftover Love ~
Thursday: BBQ hot dogs & chicken legs. Use your barbecue to grill up some cheap meats. (Be on the lookout for hot dog and chicken pieces sales, and stock up.)
Friday: Homemade chicken noodle soup.
Saturday: Deep fried fish. We’re cooking free silver salmon caught by a family member. Hopefully, someone in your family has been fishing already, meaning there is free fish in your freezer too!
Sunday: Goulash (from the freezer). I made a double batch last time and froze half of it, and now am glad that I did!

Wow! This is a great menu on the cheap. This week also has to be a cheap week for us food-wise because it is the last week before payday. We had drumsticks on the grill last night and we just used my favorite salad dressing – balsamic vinaigrette as the marinade along with a little salt and some poultry seasoning. Delicious!
