The little decorating touches we come up with as homemakers can be the ones that endear our family most to the home. These Homespun Touches are quick and easy home décor tricks to integrate into your home décor.
You can use any small ledge in your home to create a homespun touch uniquely yours. Above, we’ve used the dividing wall that separates the front door to the entry way from the living room. As you can see in the photo, we used 3 small pieces to create visual interest on what would have otherwise been empty, unused space.
The warm browns in the room were something we really wanted to work with, so we chose a beige wicker basket (right), a tea-stained decorative block (middle), and a potted pink tulip tied with an ivory raffia bow (left).
The potted tulips arrangement is silk, not real, so it can be packed away at the end of summer and saved for the next year. The basket is versatile, since it can be used on a ledge like this as-is for keys or as a catch-all for other items, or can be decorated with ribbons, fabric, or other items to fit it into another décor scheme in your home.
Quick and easy home décor with little Homespun Touches is something you can become great at in no time! Keep your eye out for unused spaces in your home and simple items that complement each other and the colors in your room.
