Happy New Year 2009!
This is a time for New Beginnings.
Welcome to a new year, a clean slate, a new beginning, a chance to start things over again! We’re changing too. You’ll see a brand new Homemaker Barbi next week, and what is going to change I can’t say… All I can tell you is that this change has been in progress since last October and is now nearly ready for unveiling. Our team has been working around the clock to bring you a big surprise for 2009!
We’ve been growing rapidly in the last year, and our basic mission to be the most comprehensive home and how-to resource on the web has not changed. In fact, in 2009 we want to give you MORE of everything. I won’t ruin the surprise, though! It will be ready soon enough.
Coming Soon:
Unveiling of the new HomemakerBarbi.com site with more features than ever before!

Homemaker Barbi joining Walmart 11 Moms as a guest blogger mid-January.(Check out the picture at right- yes, that’s me pictured, just below my friend Lynnae from Being Frugal!)
Big announcement about something exciting that will help many of our readers with their blogging.
Have you made any New Year’s Resolutions?
Once every 365 days, we get this chance to decide what didn’t work so well for us last time and what we’d like to do differently this time around. Make this year your best so far! Ask yourself:
-
What was great about last year that I want to do more?
-
What was not-so-great about last year that I want to do less?
-
What have I always wanted to do, but have never had the time?
The chance is yours right now to change your life by making conscious decisions about what you will create for yourself and your family. What New Years Resolutions have you made for 2009? Let us know in the comments!

I am waiting in anticipation for the new look of Homemaker Barbi. I can’t wait to see it. I know that it will be nice no matter what. Please keep us updated. (And if you want to give me a sneak peak, I would love it. *wink*) Anyways. Seriously. Congratulations on being featured as a guest blogger for the Wal-Mart Eleven Moms. That has to be so exciting for you. I am excited for you. I haven’t decided for sure on my New Year’s Resolutions yet. I am still debating. I think I will add “stop procrastinating” as one of them. LOL
Take care!
I didn’t make resolutions but instead set 3 attainable (I hope) goals for the coming year.
Looking forward to your new and improved site (although I think the old one is pretty great!)
@Shynea: I’m gad to know that people are as excited as I am! Thank you so much. The Wal-Mart opportunity has been so great, and I’m very, very thankful.
As for the sneak peek: if you’ve checked out our new grabbable buttons and badges, then you’ve gotten a small preview of the new site. But I can’t give away any more!
Barbi
@Michele: That’s a very important point- we’ve also been making sure with our daughter that resolutions/goals are attainable and measurable. “Get better report cards” is a lot harder to measure than “get two S+ grades on each report card.” It’s important to know you’ve reached your goal so you can celebrate the success!
Thanks for the compliments on the site- I can’t wait to show you the new one!
