Our menu plan this week features frugal recipes using one of our favorite cheap grocery staples: ground beef.  Our ground beef frugal recipes will help to stretch your grocery budget and feed your family for less.

Meals with Recipes:

Monday

Dinner: Porcupines recipe.  Porcupines are kind of like meatballs, only with a lot of “spikes” (rice), a perfect fun meal for the kids!

Tuesday

Dinner: Easy Tater Tot Hot Dish.  This is very similar to the recipe I use to make tater tot casserole.

Wednesday

Dinner: 15-Minute Dinner Nachos Supreme.  This frugal ground beef recipe was created by Campbell’s and looks scrumptious!

Thursday

Dinner: Amish Casserole.  This rich creamy casserole frugal recipe is a grocery-budget saver with basic frugal cooking ingredients to make up a traditional “comfort food” dish.

Friday

Dinner: Bacon Cheeseburger Rice

Saturday

Dinner: 2-Step Beefy Taco Joes.  Another Campbell’s Kitchen creation, this ground beef frugal recipe is an interesting twist on a delicious classic.

Sunday

Dinner: Leftover Love. Spread out a buffet table of all the leftovers from the week’s meals.  This means a day-off for the chef!

Thanks for all the ground beef recipes. I have 29 lbs of it in my freezer from when I bought a 1/2 a cow!

@Lisa: You know, my friends buy a hog each year at the state fair and have it butchered for their pork for the year. I had never heard of people doing that before, but I guess it’s pretty common. Good luck using up all that beef!
