Immodest Clothes sign

As of today, I’ve officially seen enough inappropriate clothing being pushed on our young daughters.  Parents, it’s time to say NO to kids’ immodest and trashy clothes!

As each season comes and goes, the kids’ clothes get skimpier and racier, trying to model the pop stars and female celebrities who are grown women

There is a huge difference between girl children and women: namely, one is a child and the other is a grown up.  Children should not be wearing fashion styles meant for adult women. Period.

I’m sure to get slammed for some of the adjectives I use in this series, but I am fed up with the immodest standards of our society trickling down to innocent children who don’t know any better.  Even worse is the fact that it’s being allowed by parents who don’t know how to stand up for decency and modesty.

This series on kids and modesty is a must-read for all parents, Christians and non-Christians alike. If you’re not subscribed to our RSS feed or free email updates yet, subscribe now.

Up next tomorrow, Kids’ Clothes Should NOT Have Sex Appeal.

I’m looking forward to this series, and I think my husband will enjoy reading it, too. Thanks for addressing this!

Thank you for also being someone to cover your children. I have a 6YO daughter and she is made to cover up. The last thing I want is a man looking at my innocent child and lusting after her!!! I do hope that she will grow up understanding why I am this way and hope that she will take this with her in her adult life. I also host exchange students and they are also made to cover up.

Truthfully it is hard for me to tell. I live in Vegas and seeing skin is the norm and I don’t typically go to the malls or to the stores on the weekend. My first student had some really short skirts. The student I have now is modest, all on her own. My guess is they are more modest!! (judging by pictures my student has)
I do have to say that at a water park the other day I saw a 5 or 6 YO wearing a bikini that tied on the sides and the top was a triangle top. I felt very weird looking at this “baby” in that type of suit!!!

Thank you so much! This is definitely something that needs to be addressed – not only by parents but by clothing manufacturers as well!
