@Sunny: You are TOO funny! Actually, we did go to a furniture store to look at couches recently, and noticed that all the tables were way overpriced and looked very plain and boring. I was happy that we put the time and effort into refinishing this one; it’s got personality!

If you get a chance, snap some before and after pics of your furniture pieces and send ‘em on over. I’ll be happy to put them up for all to see :) I love a makeover!

Danelle; Your table is just Stunning!!! I am sure that it rivals any of the “new” kitchen tables that you have seen!! I know that it does the ones that I have seen, while out and about….I am real big into Antiques and Uniques. I have four pieces of Furniture that I hope to start working on very soon myself so I know how it is when you are trying to get work done.
Fork that table on over lady! ;-) It would look Great in my house LOL :-)

@Sherry – thanks! So it was a table you already had? Ours was too small and the new one seats 6, so it’s perfect. It’s nice to have handy people in the family to learn from and do projects with. Cooking payments are the best kind, don’t you think?! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Wow! That is a georgeous table! Dh and his dad redid ours last year. His dad is a woodworker. He iddn’t want anything, but I made him his favorite meal of chicken fried steak w/gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, and then some homemade apple pie for dessert

Great job! I think my favorite workshop projects are the refinishing projects. I just painted up an old school desk to match my niece’s Dora-themed bedroom she’ll be getting for Christmas.
