1.  Are you saying all women should be homemakers, SAHMs or WAHMs? No! We don’t advocate any lifestyle to anyone.  We encourage all women and men to make the best choice for their own lives and their families. Every person, family, and situation is different, and we offer tools to help everyone with their everyday lives, whether they stay at home, work at home, or work outside the home.

2.  Do you advise women not to work outside the home?  No. While some of our blogging friends may be anti-feminism and advocate women staying home to care for their families, we take a stance of neutrality.  What works for some does not work for everyone, and we feel that everyone can make the best choice for themselves and their families.

3.  Is this site just for women? No! This site is for men and women alike.  Everyone can benefit from tips and how-tos, and men and women are both parents and home managers.

4.  Is this site only for people in the USA? No, we have readers and subscribers in over 112 countries worldwide! Since our office is located in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA, you’ll find a lot of references to US events and holidays.  Most of our giveaways are only for USA shipping addresses, but some giveaways are open to all countries (except where prohibited).  Each giveaway says if there are country restrictions for entrants, so be sure to read carefully.  Most of the freebies we list are for USA residents only, but since each company sets their own restrictions, you’ll have to read their terms and conditions to find out.

5.  Does Home Ever After use a Creative Commons license? No, for all content on our sites, the license is All Rights Reserved.  This means you cannot use our content or graphics on your site.  We are very sensitive to Google’s penalties for duplicate content, so if we find you have copy/pasted our articles onto your site, expect to get an email asking you to take them down.  We support links and trackbacks, and we’d love it if you linked to our articles. Just as long as you keep the excerpt you use under 350 characters, we’ll be cool!

6.  Can I put your freebies on my blog? No, you can’t copy any of our material to use on your site. All our content is copyrighted. Feel free to link to freebies you see on our site, or to relist them yourself by using your own words. You can mention that you saw the freebie here or not, it’s up to you!

7.  Can I use your articles, graphics or photos on my site?  No, you can’t copy any of our material to use on your site. All our content is copyrighted. We love links, and encourage you to link to anything on Home Ever After that you think your readers would benefit from.  Keep any quotes/excerpts from our articles under 350 characters please.

Our photos are owned by IS World Media unless given attribution otherwise.  They cannot be used in any way, online or offline, unless you acquire the express permission of the graphic’s owner.  Our custom graphics are designed for use on our sites only unless otherwise specified and are the property of IS World Media.  Exceptions: our site badges are free for you to use on your site, and our Saturday Giveaways banner is free for your use if you participate in our blog carnival.

8.  Can I print out your articles, checklists or spreadsheets? We want you to print out materials for your own personal use – that’s why we offer so many free resources!  However, we have rules against redistributing our materials.  If you’d like to distribute multiple copies of our materials to classes or groups, please contact info(at)HomeEverAfter(dot)com to request permission.  Please include the purpose and the group to help us with our decision.

9.  Can you give me pointers about my frugal blog/ mommy blog / freebie site / contest site? We love to see our readers succeed in their endeavors!  Our Mommy Tech department was created to offer tech tutorials and how-tos to help you out in your blogging journey.  If you have an idea for a topic you’d like to see covered, email it to us at tips(at)HomeEverAfter(dot)com. Depending on topics and volume, we may be able to write about it in the future.  However, due to the volume of requests we receive for advice or consultation, we need to be clear that we can’t offer you personal consultation or site advice at this time.  I can recommend Courtney Tuttle’s services, who is a web genius and offers personal consulting, as well as Tom Johnson from Rather Be Writing, who offers WordPress installations, customization, and more.

10.  How can I help support Home Ever After? We’re glad you asked, because that means you find our site useful!  We’re happy to keep our site free for you to use, thanks to the support of our readers. Check out these 14 Ways to Support Home Ever After for ways to help.

11.  How can I get my blog mentioned or linked to on Home Ever After? We love to help out other friendly sites! If you have a great article that might be helpful to our readers, please let us know at tips(at)HomeEverAfter(dot)com. Due to the volume of submissions, we can’t respond to or use every submission, but we do read every email.  Keep in mind that our sites are family friendly, so only send submissions appropriate for a general audience.

12.  How can I get my blog listed in the upcoming Mommy Blog Directory?  We don’t have a directory right now. If we make plans to include one in the future, we’ll post about it.

13.  Who does your custom graphics?  Our company designs the custom graphics for all of our sites.  We use Adobe Photoshop as our design program of choice, and it’s worth every penny!

14.  Can you do custom graphics for my blog? We’re flattered that you like our design work, but due to our current workload, we are not offering custom graphics for sale at this time.

15.  Can you recommend a company for a website redesign?  Since we do our own programming and web design, we don’t have any companies to recommend at this time.

16.  Are you a SAHM or WAHM?  Our owner and founder, Danelle Ice, is currently a WAHM with a home office.  She’s been a SAHM before and a work-outside-the-home mom in the past.  She says that all 3 have benefits and drawbacks- there is no perfect situation!  Our staff and writers are comprised of both men and women in all different working situations.

17.  How many kids do you have?  Home Ever After’s owner and founder, Danelle Ice, has 3 children: a 9 year old daughter and a 2 year old son, plus one more on the way.

18.  Are you a Christian blogger? Owner and founder, Danelle Ice, is not a Christian blogger.  Her faith is a personal and private matter that is not discussed on any of our sites.  The religious preferences of our staff and writers are private, and we do have some Christian bloggers as contributing writers.

19.  What other sites do you have? IS World Media owns the IS Media Blog Network.

20.  Are the freebies and free samples really free? Do you have to pay for shipping or cancel a subscription before you get billed?  We only list freebies and samples we find that are truly no-hassle.  We don’t list free trials that you have to cancel to avoid charges.  We don’t offer anything you have to pay shipping for, or anything you have to buy things to qualify for (these are called offer completions).

21.  Do you have any political affiliation?  Home Ever After is a non-partisan company.    Individually, our employees and writers all have their own political views, but those aren’t mentioned on this site because they’re personal.  Yes, we advocate women voting, but then again we advocate EVERYONE voting who is legally allowed to!  When we offer links to political materials or freebies, it’s because we think our readers might find them useful, and not because we support or endorse any political person or party.
