Make Hair Washing Time a Blast With Goggles
Washing a child’s hair can be a struggle, especially when it comes to rinsing. Squirming can lead to eyes full of shampoo – and tears. To eliminate rinse-related mishaps, employ the savvy parent’s bathtub tool: goggles!
Offer your child a pair of swimming goggles right before hair washing time or let them wear the goggles during their whole bath. Tighten to a snug fit to prevent water leaks into the eyes. Goggles are a great way to keep unwanted water, soap and shampoo out of little eyes and make hair washing less of a struggle. Plus, goggles are fun to wear and will keep your little one distracted as you get the job done.
Keep goggles clean by washing every one to two weeks in the dishwasher. Most goggles can be washed in the dishwasher’s top rack. Unfortunately, trial and error is the only way to make sure your goggles are dishwasher safe. Wow, that idea is impressive! My son is about to outgrow his tub visor, and still loathes the whole hair-washing routine.
Great tip!
