Thanks also to Krispy Kreme, Starbucks, and the other companies that try to encourage people to &quot;get out and vote&quot;.  I think that nothing but good intentions were involved on the companies part.  Thanks for the great idea!  HOWEVER...

Providing freebies ONLY to voters is a violation of law, and consumer accepting these &quot;bribes&quot; for votes is apparently also a crime.  Both Starbucks and Krispy Kreme could face FELONIES for these promotions, as well as many other smaller businesses that were just trying to help our country and its citizens.

Just a crazy followup to this story.

So as of now, Starbucks is offering a FREE tall coffee to anybody that asks for one on election day, regardless of whether you voted today or not.
