It’s Election Day – Remember to Vote!
It’s November 4th, which signifies General Election Day for all of us in the United States. This is a presidential election for the history books, no matter which side wins. Get your kids involved – take them with you to the polls. They’ll be able to tell the story of voting today in this historic race to their children someday. Remember to vote today and make your voice count!
After you hit the polls, go get your free goodies:
Krispy Kreme is offering a free star-shaped doughnut today to all customers who voted (just show your “I Voted” sticker). Participating locations only.
Also, Ben & Jerry’s participating scoop shops are giving out free scoops of ice cream November 4th from 5-8pm. Isn’t democracy sweet?!

Great sentiment and thanks for sharing the freebies -
Thanks also to Krispy Kreme, Starbucks, and the other companies that try to encourage people to “get out and vote”. I think that nothing but good intentions were involved on the companies part. Thanks for the great idea! HOWEVER…

Providing freebies ONLY to voters is a violation of law, and consumer accepting these “bribes” for votes is apparently also a crime. Both Starbucks and Krispy Kreme could face FELONIES for these promotions, as well as many other smaller businesses that were just trying to help our country and its citizens.
Just a crazy followup to this story.
So as of now, Starbucks is offering a FREE tall coffee to anybody that asks for one on election day, regardless of whether you voted today or not.
