Do This Now: Analyze Your Home Systems

All week I’ve been decluttering my house and starting to pack up boxes in anticipation of moving into our new house. This has brought forward several realizations about the systems I have in place. Moving is actually a great time to analyze how your home systems have been working for your family. Are they doing what you intended? Are they being used by all family members?
Even if you’re not moving right now, you can still use this reminder to do a quick check of your main home systems:
- Laundry
- Dishes
- Donation Station
- Launch pad / Entryway (get our printable checklist: kids’ getting dressed to leave the house)
- Clothing Storage
- Holiday Storage
- Return Station
- Menu Planning / Cooking
- Pantry
If any of these systems aren’t working, take a few minutes right now to figure out why. Are they too complicated? Do the people that need to use them understand how? Do you need to type up directions for future reference?
Systems make more time for the things you want to do, so get your home systems in check today!
