80s Kids’ Clothes so We Can Live it All Over Again

Many of you that are close to my age were also children in the 80s (photo at right look familiar?!). We got to live through trends and grow up with pop culture icons like big hair, Atari, Rainbow Brite, Mr. T, the Smurfs, vinyl records and more. If you were nodding your head and smiling while you read that list, then you know you’re one of the club!
Now that we’re parents ourselves, wouldn’t it be fun to dress our kids in clothes that remind us of our childhood? Well now you can! We found this really cool site called The Retro Baby that has baby, infant and toddler clothes in awesome designs like:
- Charlie Brown and Snoopy
- Star Wars
- “My mom is the bomb” and “My dad is rad”!
- Wonder Woman, Little Miss Sunshine
- Dr. Seuss, The Flintstones
- “What happens in preschool stays in preschool”
- Elmo and cookie monster
- Spiderman, Superman, and the Incredible Hulk
We had to link to a few of our favorites because they are just SO cute that you have to see them, (especially the Smurfette dress, could you die?!). They also offer a line of Kids Ink Rompers which are more modern designs, including adorable cowgirl and cowboy outfits and a baby ninja suit. Can you tell we dig this store? In the words of the giant Kool-Aid pitcher, “Oh Yeah!”

I know- I see kids my daughter’s age running around in pegged jeans with zippers at the ankles too… I start to have 80s flashbacks and have to go sit in my safe place until I feel better!! lol
